“To generate tourism and hospitality leaders as well as to flourish tourism in Bangladesh, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Monday at DIU Conference Room between Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation (BPC) and Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of Daffodil International University (DIU).
Under this agreement, BPC will manage tours; provide the package to the tourists and transportation along with food facilities, while the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of DIU will accelerate the growth of tourists flow through competent tour guides from its students. Prof Dr Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor of DIU and Aparup Chowdhury PhD, Chairman of BPC signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organization.
Prof Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Prof Dr Engr AKM Fazlul Haque, Registrar, Mominul Haque Majumder, Director (Finance & Account) and Mohammad Emran Hossain, Director (Administration) of DIU, Md. Mohsin, General Manager (Commercial) and SM Mizanur Rahman, Manager, Tour Division, Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation were present at the signing ceremony. Campus tourism could be based on the area of any Educational Institution, or simply can say campus area based tourism is known as campus tourism.
