BPA, Mymensingh Div observes World Mental Health Day

As per the decision of the Central Executive Council of Bangladesh Psychology Association (BPA), on the occasion of “World Mental Health Day” on Sunday on the occasion of “World Mental Health Day”.
The theme of the day was “Mental Health in an Inequitable World”. The chief guest of the function was Prof. Mujibur Rahman, Member of the Central Committee. Speaking as the chief guest at the human chain, Prof Mujibur Rahman said the Bangladesh Psychological Association urged the government to take steps to implement adequate budget allocation in the mental health sector in a world full of inequality to ensure the mental well-being of the people. Corona virus has a far-reaching impact on the lives and livelihoods of ordinary people in the affected world and the ongoing instability, stress, anxiety, worry, frustration, etc. in their personal and family life, work and social life. Everyone must come forward to overcome that and build a healthy nation. President Prof Shamsul Haque said the government should take steps to allocate adequate budget in the mental health sector to formulate necessary programs and build a better Bangladesh to free the young generation and youth from the scourge of drugs and ensure the mental well-being of the people in the future. Prof Md. Muzammel Haque, Vice President BPA Mymensingh Division was also present in the presidency of Prof Samsul Haque, President of Manobbandhan Psychology Association.
