A 12-year old jute mill worker was brutally killed allegedly by his co-worker who pumped air through the victim’s rectum in Kahalu upazila of Bogura district on Friday morning.
The victim, a worker of Afrin Jute Mills Limited, was identified as Md Alal, son of Mozahar Ali, from Dhakanata village in Kahalu upazila, reports our local correspondent quoting Kahalu Police Station Officer-in-Charge Zia Latiful Islam.
Police also detained Jatin Karmakar, 27, a worker of the jutes mills, the OC said.
The OC said that his co-worker Jatin inserted a pump nozzle into Alal’s rectum while Jatin was working in the factory with the blower machine in the morning. As Alal fell sick, other workers took him to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hopsital, Bogura where he succumbed to his injuries.
On September 29, 2017, a teenaged boy, Russel, was also brutally killed, allegedly by his co-worker who pumped air through the teen’s rectum in the same upazila.
Russel, a worker of ABC tiles factory in the upazila, was the son of Abdul Hannan from the same upazila.
