A discipline bowling display by Orient Sports Club bowlers enabled them to record a 42-run victory over Udayachal Club in the super league of Dhaka First Division Cricket League held on Thursday at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Outer Stadium in Fatullah.
Batting first after winning the toss, Orient SC, rode on Asif Iqbal’s 93-run and Arman Hamlder’s 78-run to score a challenging total of 282 for 9 from their allotted 50 overs.
Morsalin Bin was the pick of Udayachal Club taking four wickets for 38 runs. He was well supported by Aousafur Rahman, who bagged two wickets giving away 41 runs.
Chasing a winning target of 283 runs, Udayachal Club were fell short as they were all out for 240 in 48.4 overs. Monirul top scored with 69 runs followed by Mim Mosaddek 65 runs. K
amrul Islam caused the major damage as he grabbed four wickets giving away 61 runs while Nasiruddin, Habibullah and Arman Halder shared two wickets apiece.
