Bourses bounce back

Country’s both the bourses on Tuesday bounced back due to the positive move of the large cap companies.
Capital bourse, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) returned in green zone at the end of the session as all the large cap sectors, except bank, cement and NBFI, showed upward movements.
Index showed fluctuation throughout the day but ended with positive vibe. At the end, the index closed green with 0.25 percent increase from the previous day.
Telecommunication exhibited the highest positive movement with 2.01 percent gain while cement exhibited the highest negative movement with 0.78 percent loss.
The core index, DSEX closed at 5178.70 points with a gain of 12.93 points. Besides, the two selective indices, DSE30 increased by 9.47 points and DSES increased by 5.28 points to stand at 1829.14 points and 1198.34 points respectively.
A total number of 12,37,25,835 trades were executed on Tuesday’s session generating a turnover of Taka 4,677.56 million with a trading volume of 128.981 million securities. At DSE, 122 securities gained price while 174 declined and 47 remained unchanged.
The top 10 gainers were SS Steel, Wata Chemicals, Sonali Aansh Industries, Style Craft, Monno Stafflers, Eastern Lubricants, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), VFS Thread Dyeing, Pharma Aids and Indo-Bangla Pharmaceuticals.
