Both matches of Young Tigers U-18 cricket ends in draw

Both the matches of the Young Tigers Under-18 National Cricket Competition ended in draw on the 3rd and last day of the meet at separate venues on Sunday.
Dhaka Division South team drew with Rangpur Division at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar (SKICS) while Dhaka Metropolis team drew against Rajshahi Division at Cox’s Bazar venue-2.
At the SKICS, Dhaka South Team, which were all out for 95 runs in the first innings, resumed the 2nd innings on Sunday with overnight 79 for 3 in 52 overs and finally scored 221 for all in 123.3 overs.
In reply, Rangpur Division (182 runs in 1st innings) opened the 2nd innings Sunday afternoon with a winning target of 135 runs, but could score only 50 runs for 5 in 20 overs at stumps on the final day.
At Cox’s Bazar venue-2, Dhaka Metropolis team (257 runs in 1st innings) resumed the 2nd innings with overnight 19 for 1 in 10 overs and declared the innings at 188 for 7 in 60.1 overs that featured 101 runs by Shamim Iqbal.
In reply, Rajshahi Division (186 runs in 1st innings) opened the 2nd innings and scored 113 for 4 in 45 overs to settle for a draw.
Earlier, on Saturday, the three-day match between Barisal Division and BKSP also ended in draw at the Rangpur Cricket Gardens.
