Key share price index in the country’s twin bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — suffered marginal loss on Monday, the 2nd trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX lost 3.66 points or nearly 0.08 percent to close at 4709.91 on the day. Of the 300 issues traded, 83 gained, 172 declined and 45 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 668.90 crore changed hands at the DSE on Monday, which was Tk 838.18 crore on the previous day.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were Rupali Life Insurance, Sandhani Life Insurance, 8th ICB Mutual Fund, 7th ICB Mutual Fund, Monno Jute Stafflers, Sunlife Insurance, Meghna Life Insurance, Rahima Food, Padma Islami Life Insurance, and AMCL (Pran).
The CSE key index, CSCX lost 8.42 points to reach 8800.63 at close on Monday. Of the 235 issues traded, 64 advanced, 141 suffered loss and 30 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues was Tk 41.71 crore on the day.
