Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses — Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) — gained Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DGEN gained 27.30 points or 0.60 percent to reach 4554.51 points at close today. Of the 298 issues traded on the day 178 gained, 82 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 632.32 crore changed hands at the DSE on Thursday.
The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were Tallu Spinning, Zahintex, Paramount Textile, Maksons Spinning Mills, Matin Spinning Mills, Familytex, Summit Power, Bengal Windsor Thermoplastics, HR Tex, and ICB 1st NRB Mutual Fund.
The CSE key index, CSCX gained 32.07 points to stand at 8596.27 points at close today. Of the 218 issues traded, 113 gained, 66 declined and 39 remained unchanged.
