Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) gained Monday, the second trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX rose 23.74 points or nearly 0.52 percent to close at 4564.35 at the end of the day’s trading. Of the issues traded, 155 increased, 117 declined and 23 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 707 crore changed hands at the DSE on Monday.
The day’s ten top gainers at the DSE were BEXIMCO, MJL Bangladesh, BSRM Steel, Lafarge Surma Cement, Square Pharmaceuticals, Khulna Printing & Packaging, Summit Power, Grameen Phone, ACI, and BSC.
The key CSE index, CSCX gained 35.21 points to close at 8614.18 on the day.
Of the issues traded, 102 increased, 106 declined and 16 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 50.93 crore were traded at the CSE on Monday.
