Key share price index in the country’s twin bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – post marginal gain on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 12.78 points or 0.27 percent to reach 4675.91 at the close of trading on the. Of the 300 issues traded, 133 gained, 127 declined and 40 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 685.63 crore changed hands at the DSE on Thursday.
The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were ACI Formulations, BD Lamps, Apex Spinning, Rahim Textile, Monno Jute Stafflers, Libra Infusions, Eastern Cables, Delta Life Insurance, National Polymer, and JMI Syringes & Medical Devices.
The CSE key index, CSCX gained 8.40 points to reach 8757.85 at the close on Thursday. Of the 225 issues traded, 87 advanced, 113 suffered loss and 25 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues was Tk 40.89 crore on the day.
