Key share price index in the country’s twin bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -continued to rule positive on Thursday, the last day of trading of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX gained 5.77 points or 0.13 percent to reach 4409.42 at the close of trading on Thursday. Of the 294 issues traded, 152 gained, 104 declined and 38 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 302.78 crore changed hands at the DSE on the day.
The day’s top 10 gainers at the DSE were BD Thai, Beximco, United Air, CMC Kamal, AIBL 1st Islamic Mutual Fund, BSC, Central Insurance, Family Tex, ICB Islamic Mutual Fund, and Peoples Leasing & Finance.
The CSE key index, CSCX gained 0.06 points to reach 8401.37 at the close today. Of the 215 issues traded, 86 advanced, 101 suffered loss and 28 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues was Tk 31.21 crore at the CSE on Thursday.
