Both DSE and CSE index lose on Sunday

Key share price index at the country’s twin bourses-Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – suffered loss on Sunday, the 1st trading day of the week.
The DSE benchmark index, DSEX lost 109.09 points or nearly 2.06 percent to close at 5176.75 on the day. Of the 302 issues traded, 54 gained, 233 suffered loss and 15 remained unchanged.
Shares worth Tk 687.25 crore changed hands at the DSE on Sunday.
The day’s top 10 losers at the DSE were EBL NRB Mutual Fund, Fareast Islami Life Insurance, DESCO, Prime Insurance, Bangladesh General Insurance, Paramount Insurance, International Leasing & Financial Service, Sonar Bangla Insurance, City General Insurance, and Federal Insurance.
The CSE key index, CSCX shed 194.51 points to reach 9717.43 at close on the day. Of the 229 issues traded, 26 advanced, 195 suffered loss and 8 remained unchanged.
The value of the traded issues was Tk 45.40 crore at the CSE on Sunday.
