Monirampur Upazila Agriculture Extension Department (DAE) has brought 28 thousands 5 hundreds hectors of land under Boro cultivation this session.
Till January 15, 5 thousands hectors of land were cultivated, a source of the department told this correspondent. The departmental source said if the weather condition will favourable for cultivation, the target may exceed.
On the other hand, cultivators of different areas were demanded as the oil and other agricultural inputs price rising day by day, so they are in the mean time loss their mentality.
Mentionable on last year DAE was produced one luck 36 thousands 482 metric tones of paddy from cultivated 28 thousands 950 hectors of land. The target of cultivation was 29 thousand one hundred hectors. The departmental source is expecting this year the production of paddy will goes over one lack 20 thousands metric tones.
