Booters reach Hotel Intercontinental

The preliminary squad of Bangladesh football reached Hotel Intercontinental in Dhaka on Sunday. After the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday the 22 booters exchanged Eid greetings with each other. Bishawanath Ghosh of Bashundhara Kings could not arrive at the hotel due to injury. The quarantine period of Head Coach Jamie Day will come to an end today. If he and the booters become negative for coronavirus test they will take part in the practice session in full swing.
The footballers of the preliminary squad are-Anisur Rahman ,Bishwanath Ghosh, Rimon Hossain, Masuk Mia, Biplu Ahmed, Mahbubur Rahman, Matin Mia, Tapu Barman, Mohammad Ibrahim, Tarique Kazi (Bashundhara Kings), Shahidul Alam, Sohel Rana, Saad Uddin (Dhaka Abahani Limited), Rahmat Mia, Riadul Hasan, Yasin Arafat, Jamal Bhuiyan, Abu Shahed, Imran Hasan, Faisal Ahmed (Saif Sporting Club), Mehedi Hasan, Mehedi Hasan Royal, Mohammad Imon (Bangladesh Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra), Ashraful Islam, Mohammad Abdullah (Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra), Manik Hossain, Rakib Hossain (Chattogram Abahani Limited), Habibur Rahman, Atiquzzaman (Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited), Rezaul Karim (Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited), Sumon Reza, Mitul Marma (Uttar Baridhara Club) and Mohammad Jewel (Police Football Club).
The practice sessions will be held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium marking the Group-E matches of the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers at Doha in Qatar. Bangladesh will take on Afghanistan on June 3, while the Red-and-Green out-fit will face India on June 7 and Bangladesh will meet Oman on June 15.
