There is a boom in the sales of deep fridge and large deep-based refrigerator ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, one of the largest religious festivals of Muslims, to be celebrated on September 25.
A large number of buyers are thronging the outlets of electronics shops across the country to purchase fridges to preserve the meat of sacrificial animals during the Eid.
Talking to fridge traders of Rajshahi, Khulna and Chittagong, it was learnt that the country’s electronics giant ‘Walton’ has grabbed a lion portion of the Eid sales of fridge through releasing new models of fridges and refrigerators with unique designs and colours.
Usually, the sales of fridges are geared up during the month of Eid-ul-Azha compared to the other months of the year.
