Chairman of Pali and Buddhist Studies department of Dhaka University (DU) Prof. Dr. Biman Chandra Barua on Sunday handed over 127 books on Buddhist Literature and Tripitaka to Vice-Chancellor of the university Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique at a function on the campus.
The books, written in Bangla and collected from Rajban Bihar of Rangamati, were donated for central library of the university, said a press release.
Acting Librarian Prof. Dr. SM Jabed Ahmad, Prof. Dr. Shukomol Barua and teachers of the department were present at the function, among others, the release said.
