Bangladesh Consulate General in New York has donated a few sets of books (class 1 to V) to Manhattan Bangla Cultural School.
Manhattan Bangla Cultural School was launched recently to help the children of the Bangladesh community in New York learn their mother tongue as well as retain and nurture the unique and distinct culture and tradition of Bangladesh.
Consul General of Bangladesh in New York Md Shameem Ahsan handed over the books recently, said a Foreign Ministry press release on Tuesday.
The books, published by the National Curriculum and Textbook Board, Dhaka, the government of Bangladesh, were received by jubilant students in presence of the President of the Management Committee of the school, Manika Roy, teachers, members of the Management Committee, and guardians, among others.
The Consul General assured the students of making more books available in near future.
