A book titled “Real Estate Development” was unveiled at Sheltech Lounge in the capital’s Panthapath area on Saturday.
Managing Director of Sheltech Engineer Taufiq M. Seraj has written the book with a view to developing the real estate sector in the country.
Former Chairman of University Grants Commission and Chairman of Center for Urban Studies Professor Nazrul Islam, Chairman of Bishwo Shahitto Kendro Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed, Professor Emeritus of BRAC University Dr Ainun Nishat, former Chairman of Institute of Architect Sculptor Mubashhir Hossain and Sheltech Chairman Engineer Kutubuddin Ahmed jointly unwrapped the book.
They also spoke the function, among others.
Professor Nazrul Islam said, it is a valuable book because Taufiq M. Seraj wrote the book with the experiences of 28 years in real estate sector. He hoped that the students who were studying in real estate subject in different universities and the people who were doing business in the sector would be benefited by the book.
Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed said, it is a rich book. It can be the syllabus in different universities and institutions. He thanked the writer for writing such a creative book.
Dr Ainun Nishat said the people should learn more from it. A man must be efficient in his or her own department. But unfortunately, a few people want to learn. The book will be helpful for the people who want to learn more and to flourish the real estate sector.
Sculptor Mubashhir Hossain said, the Dhaka city was not build in a planned way. But it is possible to make the city as wonderful city. Some united initiatives to build Dhaka as an ideal city are needed. Rajuk also can play an important role in this regard, he said.
