Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman said that creating more and more new entrepreneurs is very important for the overall development of Bangladesh. He said, after 43rd years of liberation, the success story of Bangladesh what we see in different sectors specially Garments and ICT- Entrepreneurs are the mainly contributor. The governor said, 55 per cent of the total population of the country is youth and it is possible to build our dreaming self reliant golden Bangladesh if we can train up this young generation with technology, education and entrepreneurship skills.
Dr Atiur said these while addressing as the chief guest at the publication ceremony of a book titled “Hand Book of Entrepreneurship Development” written and published by Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Daffodil International University (DIU) and former president of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI).
The book is a complete guideline to assist new entrepreneurs. Dr Atiur also said, SME is also essential besides big entrepreneurs. We have created a fund amounting Tk.100 crore for SME and we will distribute these amount among the Young Entrepreneurs after trained up them through Jurry board.
The function at the Bangladesh Bank on Thursday was also attended by Prof Dr M Golam Rahman, Dean Faculty of Humanities and Social science, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank Ahsan Ullah, Nirmal Chandra Vakta, and General Manager Asaduzzaman and Masum Patwary.
In the publication Ceremony writer and publisher of the book Md. Sabur Khan said, the book will help the new entrepreneurs as a guideline to know ins and outs to form a new company or initiating a new business. Gaining skills, pricing of product, techniques to satisfy customers, starting business activities, getting trade license, loan and different guidelines for preparing a project plans have been discussed elaborately in the book, which will help anyone intended to become an Entrepreneur, he added.
He also said, the amount earned from the sales of the books will be donated for forming `Innovation Center’ to develop entrepreneurs and the students of different colleges and universities will get the book in 50 per cent discount rate.
