To mark the historic ‘Mujibnagar Day’ and to commemorate the 96th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, cover-unveiling ceremony of a book titled ‘Joytu Bangabandhu’ was held in the Vice-Chancellor’s conference room on Sunday. The book has been published under the initiative of ‘Neel Dal’, pro-Awami League Teachers Association of the Jagannath University.
JnU VC Professor Dr Mijanur Rahman inaugurated the unveiling ceremony.
JnU Treasurer Professor Md Selim Bhuiyan, Neel Dal President Professor Dr AKM Monirujjaman, General Secretary Dr Abul Kalam Md Lutfor Rahman and JnU Arts Faculty Dean and Editor of the book Professor Dr Mohammad Selim, among others, were present in the ceremony.
In the book, there are 17 essays on Bangabandhu written by National Professor Salahuddin Ahmed, National University VC Professor Dr Harun-or Rashid, JnU VC Professor Dr Mijanur Rahman, Director General of Bangla Academy Shamsuzzaman Khan, Awami League Presidium Member Nuh-ul-Alam and Journalist Baby Mowdud, among others.
