A book namely ‘Governance in South, Southeast, and East Asia: Trends, Issues and Challenges’ jointly edited by Ishtiaq Jamil, Salahuddin M Aminuzzaman and Sk Tawfique M Haque was launched at a ceremony at the Faculty Lounge of North South University in the city recently.
Public Policy and Governance (PPG) Programme of Department of Political Science and Sociology (PSS) of North South University (NSU) arranged the ceremony.
Dr Hossain Zillur Rahman, former adviser, Caretaker Government of Bangladesh, unveiled the book as chief guest while MA Kashem, chairman of BoT, NSU also graced the ceremony as special guest.
With Prof Amin Sarkar, NSU vice chancellor, in the chair, Dr Sk Tawfique M Haque, director, PPG Programme of the university, delivered welcome speech on the occasion.
Dr Akbar Ali Khan and M Hafizuddin Khan, former advisers, Caretaker Government of Bangladesh, Dr Iftekharuzzaman, executive director, Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB), and Prof M Emdadul Haq and Prof Abdur Rob Khan of PSS department of the NSU also spoke at the event.
Prof Salahuddin M Aminuzzaman, and Prof Syeda Lasna Kabir also attended the book launching ceremony, among others.
