Regarding the completion of approved projects under the UNESCO participation programme 2012-2013 along with the launching ceremony of the book of one of those projects, entitled “Documentation on Terracotta Temples Bangladesh” programme was held on Tuesday at the Conference Hall of Bangladesh National Commission for UNESCO (BNCU), BANBEIS Bhaban, Nilkhet here.
Dr. Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury, Secretary, Ministry of Education was the chief guest while Ms Shirin Akhtar, Director General, Department of Archeology was the special guest at the programme.
The representatives of the seven implemented projects made their presentation in the programme. Md. Monjur Hossain, secretary of Bangladesh National Commission for UNESCO chaired the opening session.
In his speech, the chief guest thanked the implementing authority and the officials of BNCU for successful completion of the projects of the Participation Programme 2012-2013. He also thanked UNESCO for their contribution preserving education, science, history and cultural affairs of Bangladesh. By wishing the success of the book published under the UNESCO participation programme “Documentation on terracotta Temples Bangladesh” the chief guest said.
