The 11th annual bonsai exhibition of Radiant Bonsai Society began at WVA Auditorium in the capital’s Dhanmondi area on September 12. Chaired by the President of Radiant Bonsai Society Gulshan Nassrin Chowdhury, President of the National Press Club Saiful Islam inaugurated the four-day long exhibition as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony.
General Secretary of the bonsai society Moniruddin Ahmed gave welcome speech on the occasion. Chairman of IFAD Group Iftekhar Ahmed Tipu, Director of ATN Bangla Nahid Rahman, President of Rajshahi Bonsai Society Syed Mahfuz-e-Towhid, among others, were also present at the event.
Around 300 species of bonsai are on display in the exhibition. Therefore, there is also selling option for the visitors. Prices of these bonsai are from Tk 1,000 to Tk 1,80,000. The exhibition will remain open for all from 10:00am to 8:00pm till September 15.
