Boney Kapoor shares picture of Sridevi’s National Award

Late actress Sridevi was posthumously honoured with a National Award by the President last evening for her brilliant performance in the 2017 thriller film, Mom. Her husband, Boney Kapoor and daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor received the award on her behalf. An emotional Boney collected the award and had this to say, “I am extremely happy and proud. This is what she’s got after working for 50 years in the industry; she would have cherished this award all her life. This is the highest honour. We miss her and today we miss her even more. Boney Kapoor then took to twitter and posted a picture of Sridevi’s National Award from her Twitter account to let her fans get a glimpse of the award.
Responding to the pictures from the event, Anil Kapoor also tweeted, “Such a proud & heartwarming moment for all of us to watch these beautiful people accept an honor for the most incredible person there ever was! #Sridevi #NationalFilmAwards @BoneyKapoor #JhanviKapoor #KhushiKapoor Interestingly, Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi wore her mother’s saree to the event last evening. Janhvi will also follow her mother’s footsteps and will soon be seen in her Bollywood debut film opposite Ishaan Khattar, Dhadak, on July 6.
