Bombs exploded in Madaripur clash; 10 injured

At least 10 people have been injured in a clash between two sides at Kalkini in Madaripur due to previous hostilities. The clash took place on Saturday morning. More than 50 bombs exploded including shooting at the time.
Police said a father and his son named Miraz Hossain were hit while sleeping at a house at Kalkini in Madaripur on July 30. During the clash, Miraz Hossain’s leg was torn off by the people of Apang Kazi. Miraz Hossain’s brother filed a case against 10-15 that time.
Meanwhile, police conducted an operation in the area to arrest the accused. On December 14, the accused broke the legs of Liakot Khan, son of Titai Khan of the same area, with a hammer. Later, the locals rescued the injured and admitted him to the Upazila Health Complex. Later, he was rushed to Dhaka for better treatment as his condition deteriorated.
Due to these incidents, there has been a massive clash since Saturday morning. The whole area was overcast as bombs and shells exploded.
Kalkini Police Station OC Ishtiaq Asfaq Russell said frequent fights continue in this area due to the spread of dominance. Police have brought the situation under control.
