Three crude bombs were exploded in front of BNP’ s Nayapaltan central office on Thursday afternoon.Contacted, Operation Officer of Paltan Police Station, Inspector Siddiqur Rahman said three crude bombs went off one after another on the road divider, opposite to BNP central office at around 3:30 pm. However, no one was hurt in the incident, he said.
Replying to a question, another police officer said tension has been pre-veiling in front of BNP central office for the last several days centering the newly formed Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal central committee. JCD men, who were ‘deprived of posts’ in its newly formed 736-member mega committee, might have exploded the bombs, the police officer said preferring anonymity.
