Staff Reporter :At least five people suffered burn injuries when miscreants hurled two petrol bombs at a commuter train in Sreepur upazila of Gazipur on Monday evening.Two more passengers were injured when they jumped off from the running train, the police said.The ‘Commuter Express’ train was heading to Jamalpur from Kamalapur Railway Station of Dhaka.Witnesses said a group of miscreants hurled crude bombs at the locomotive near Sreepur Railway Station around 5:30pm.As the train slowed down after the bomb attack, soon a petrol bomb was hurled at the bogie next to the engine, leaving five passengers burned.The burn injured passengers are Hossain, 60, of Kadirpur village under Nandail upazila of Mymensingh district and Kazim Uddin, 45, a rice trader of Bhangnahat village of Sreepur. Of them, the condition of Hossain is critical, said Hasan Imam, an official of Sreepur Upazila Health and Family Planning Office.The injured are Afaz Uddin, 50, an MLSS of Livestock Office in Bhaluka upazila, and Mofij Uddin, 60, a day labourer of Shantibagh of Dhaka. All of them were admitted to Sreepur Upazila Health Complex.
