Bomb attack in Ctg, Sirajganj PDB offices

Miscreants hurled crude bombs targeting two local offices of Power Development Board (PDB) in Chittagong and Sirajganj on Saturday after the power supply to Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson’s office was snapped.
In Chittagong, two crude bombs were exploded with a
big bang in front of the regional office of the Power Development Board at Agrabad in the port city around 2:00pm. No casualty was reported.
Additional Deputy Police Commissioner SM Tanvir Arafat of Chittagong Metropolitan Police (West) said police in a drive arrested 10 people from Debar Par area for their suspected involvement in carrying out the bomb attack. In Sirajganj, miscreants hurled a crude bomb at the local PDB office in the district town around 11:00am. No one was injured in the incident. On the other hand, Dhaka Electric Supply Company on Saturday denied its responsibility in snapping the power supply line to Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office.
DESCO Chief Engineer Nur Mohammad told media that the authority was not aware of the incident.
