Popular face of TV dramas and movies Arjumand Ara Bokul has been engaged with acting for a long time. But one thing always gives her pain. When she acts in any drama or movie her name is mentioned as Anjuman Ara Bokul, which is wrong. Her real name is Arjumand Ara Bokul. Despite requesting all most of the time she finds same mistake. Her name was lastly mentioned incorrect in Mizanur Rahman Aryan’s drama Charulatar Biye. So, Bokul said with sorrow, “I may not see my correct name in life.” Bokul informed that she acted in Akram Khan directed faction drama titled Uttor Bosonto, which has been made to telecast on Bangladesh Television. Story of the drama is written by noted litterateur Hasan Azizul Haque, while director Akram Khan made its script.
Bokul played an important role in drama Uttor Bosonto. While talking about acting in the drama she said, “I felt really good to work in respected Hasan Azizul Haque written story based drama. I give thanks to Akram Khan to give me the opportunity to work in the drama. Some works remain memorable to the actor. Uttor Bosonto is my acted such a work. I believe viewers will enjoy the drama when it airs.”
Bokul also said she has started shooting of a new drama serial Tobe Ki Aamar Bhool Chhilo, directed by Sajib Das. Therefore, she also performed as model in two new TVCs, directed by Amir Parvez, on the occasion of International Women’s Day and Independence Day.
Hisab Nikash, directed by Faridur Rahman, was Bokul acted her first drama. She also acted with Shakib Khan in several numbers of films. In Shamim Ahmed Roni’s Bossgiri movie she acted in role of Shakib’s mother. Shah Alam Kiron’s Ami Ek Omanush was Bokul acted her first movie.
