Some 42 more people contacted coronavirus in last 24 hours in Bogura district, taking the total number of cases from the deadly virus to 6,951. Dr Farjanul Haque Nirjhar from district civil surgeon office confirmed the matter in an online briefing on Tuesday.
He said a total of 305 samples were tested during this time period. Of them, 41 found positive at PCR lab of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital and another found positive at PCR lab of TMSS Medical College in Bogura.
No death from the novel coronavirus was reported in the district in last three days.
So far, 125 people died of coronavirus here.
Analysing the date of last week on COVID-19, civil surgeon Dr Mostafizur Rahman Tuhin said the infection rate of coronavirus is decreasing in Bogura.
