Bogura ASP among 5 cops hurt in JCD attack

Five police personnel, including an ASP, were injured in an clash with by Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) activists in Bogura district town for asking them not to go to the Shaheed Minar wearing shoes.
The incident took place at the central Shaheed Minar of the district near Shaheed Khokon Park area yesterday morning when JCD men gathered at the spot to hold a rally marking its 41st founding anniversary.
The injured are Additional Superintendent of Bogura police (Sadar circle) Sanatan Chakraborty, Assistant Sub-inspector Ashraful Islam of Sadar Police Station and Constables Parvez, Sifat and Mamun.
They were admitted to the Mohammad Ali Hospital in Bogra for treatment. Among the injured, constable Parvez sustained
serious injury in his head. He was admitted to Bogura Police Lines Hospital.
Other cops were released from the hospital after giving primary treatment.
Police, however, arrested 20 JCD activists for attacking the law enforcers and trying to snatch away their arms.
