A slaughtered body of an youth was recovered from Khaskandi village under Kanaipur union of Sadar upazilla of the district on Sunday.
The body was identified as Rakib Molla,27 son of Wahab Molla, a wood carpenter of Hatgobindapur village under Krsihnanagar union of Sadar upazilla.
Kotwali police quoting chairman of Kanaipur union told that the body of Rakib was found by the side of a road of Khaskandi. Police said Rakib purchased a motor bike which he used as rented by carrying passengers.
On Saturday he came to Kanaipur bazar for his professional work, on that day he was missing.
Police said the unknown muggers had snatched away his bike after slaughtering him.
His body was handed over to his family after post mortem.
A case was registered with Kotwali police in this connection.
