Police recovered the body of a female readymade garment (RMG) worker from her rented house in the city’s Colonel Hat area on Sunday.
The victim was Selina Akhter, 27, daughter of Mohammad Emran, hailed from Charjabbar of Noakhali district. Police, being informed, recovered the body of Selina hanging with the ceiling at her rented house near at Colonel Hat post office around 1.30 pm.
Police, however, could not ascertain the reason behind the killing. Sub-Inspector (SI) of Akbar Shah thana Mohammad Jaker Hossain said the body was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
