Police recovered the body of a young woman from a Mawshomi residential hotel in Cox’s Bazar on Sunday . The body was recovered from the bottom of a bed in a hotel room on Sunday at around 1:30 pm.
According to the hotel register, the girl’s name is Maryam Begum, 25, and she is the wife of Shamsul Alam of Tutur Bil area of Ukhia Upazila in Cox’s bazar.
Meanwhile, Shamsul Alam was identified as husband and wife in the hotel but police are investigating whether he is the real husband.
Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model Police Station OC Md Khairuzzaman confirmed the incident.
The hotel was informed by police on Sunday night that no response was received. Police arrived at the spot and recovered the body from the hotel room and sent it to the morgue of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital.
