At last the Indian police on Wednesday afternoon has taken away the body of the unidentified young man age about 35 years from near the pillar number 60/35 of Abhoynagar in India that was found floating in the water of bordering Ichhamati River under Moheshpur upazila in Jhenaidah.
Recovery of the body was delayed as the Indian counterpart of the police could not come to Bangladesh territory on Tuesday. Neither the border guard Bangladesh nor the police in India could detect whether the deceased was Bangladeshi or Indian, said, the BGB sources.
BGB 58 battalion director Lieutenant Colonel Tajul Islam said, the BGB sent a patrol team at the Khosalpur bordering area on Tuesday when the local informed the border guards that the body was floating on the river water in the noon.
The deceased was wearing dhuti, a Hindu people dress and the body was tied with a banana plant. The face and some other portion was seems to be burnt. The BGB suspected that some one had thrown the body in to the river water after mild burning the face when he might be dead as their religious method from Indian Territory a few days back. The body was floating on the river water till Tuesday afternoon.

The BGB director in the evening of Wednesday when contacted said, they informed the matter to Indian BSF and participated in a flag meeting between the BGB and BSF of India in the afternoon of Tuesday where the BSF assured of talking the body by the Indian police.
Following the assurance a team of policemen from the neighboring territory had taken away the body at about 4.00 PM on Wednesday, the BGB director said.
