Police recovered the slaughtered body of a teenage girl from a paddy field at Narshing village under Morneya union at Gangachara upazila in Rangpur district on Saturday morning
The deceased was identified as Shahina Khatun(14), daughter of Ayub Ali, of the same village. According to family sources, Shahina went missing since Thursday evening. Later local people found her body in a paddy field of the village on Friday morning and informed the police.
On information police rushed to the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Rangpur Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Police said that Shahina might have been slaughtered by sharp weapon after being raped.
