The dead body of a youth found after two days of missing from water of Paglarhat water body at Kumertary Para under Telai Union of Bhurungamari upazila in Kurigram district on Monday evening .
The deceased was identified as Sohanur Rahman (22 ). Son, of Badal Ali of village Pachchin Char Gopalpur under the upazila. Local sources said Sohanur and his associates went to peak up his friends wife from her father’s house at char Dakkhin Telai area forcibly on Saturday night . The local people chased him following the incident causing all of them went away with a small boat.
Then Sohan went into missing. Former member of Telai Union council Abdur Rashid told that locals found his dead body was floating at noon on Monday and informed to thana police.
Officer-in-charge of Bhurungamari police station Tapos Chandra Pandit told that the body was recovered and sent it to Kurigram Sadar Hospital morgue for post mortem examination.
