Police recovered a hanging body of a medical student on Monday evening from a coaching centre in the city’s Siddeswari area under Ramna Police Station after three days of her missing.
The deceased has been identified as Ireen (20), a 1st year student of Safena Women’s Dental College and daughter of Dr. Saiful Islam of the area.
The owner of the coaching centre, Lutfor Rahman, said, a security guard called me saying that a girl hanging in my coaching centre. Later I informed the police.
Saiful Islam, father of deceased said, Ireen was missing for last three days.
I have filed a general dairy about the incident with Ramna Police Station on Sunday.
Moshiur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Ramna Police Station confirmed the matter to media.
Quoting family members the OC said, the girl was frustrated about her academic life. After being rejected in medical admission test, she was disappointed totally.
In a quarry OC said, we are looking the matter how she committed suicide in a coaching centre.
The body has been taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy.
