Body of missing JnU student found in Buriganga River

The dead body of a missing Jagannath University (JnU) student was found floating in the Buriganga River on Tuesday and recovered.
He was identified as Md Ariful Islam (21), a final year student of Political Science department of the university. He went missing from Dakhshin Keranigonj around 10am on Monday.
People informed police after seeing a floating body and police recovered it and sent it to Sir Salimullah Medical College Hospital for an autopsy.
Mostofa Kamal, Assistant Proctor of Jagannath University confirmed the news to The New Nation on Tuesday afternoon.
Ariful Islam lived in a mess house of Dakshin Keranigonj. He went traceless although his bag and belongings remained there.
His brother Rashedul Islam filed a General Diary (GD) saying that they did not trace him in Dakshin Keranigonj Upazila since Monday morning.
Ariful Islam was son of Mohiuddin and Sahida Khatun of Jibon Nagar Upazila in, Chuadanga District.
