UNB, Rajshahi :Police recovered the body of a boy from a drain at Dainpara village in Mohanpur upazila on Friday morning, 15days after his missing.The deceased was identified as Fazle Hossain Rabbi,10, son of Amir Hossain, a resident of the same village.Abdul Hamid, officer-in-charge of Mohanpur Police Station, said Rabbi had gone missing in the afternoon on December 20.On December 22, an unknown caller demanded Tk 10 lakh from Rabbi’s family as ransom for his release over mobile phone. The deceased’s father, Amir, filed a case with Mohanpur Police Station on the following day accusing two people-Aminul and his associate Sahabuddin-of kidnapping his son.On December 24, police arrested three people, including Aminul and Sahabuddin, suspecting them to have abducted Rabbi. Police also arrested five more people from different areas of the district on Thursday night.Later, based on their statements, police recovered the body of Rabbi from a drain in the area in the morning.
