Police recovered the body of a five-year-old boy from a septic tank in Bhashantek Rehabilitation Project residential area of city on Monday morning.
Nuruzzaman, sub-inspector of Bhashantek Police Station, said Sajid Khan, 5, son of Osman Khan, went missing on Sunday afternoon.
After a frantic search, his father Osman spotted the footwear of Sajid in a septic tank of the project area around 7am. On information, members of the Fire Service and Civil Defence and police rushed to the spot and retrieved the body from the tank. Sajid might have drowned in the tank while playing in the area.
