Body of a government primary school’s lady teacher was found throat slit and dead in her house in a pool of blood at Shologhar area in Chandpur district town on Sunday afternoon.
She was alone in her house at the time of incident-said Acting Police Super Mizanur Rahman .Her husband and three children were in Dhaka for study.
On information Chandpur Sadar Model Thana Police on Sunday afternoon rushed and recovered the dead body of this woman from her husband’s Government Quarters house at Water Development Board Officials Colony at Shologhar in the district town.
The deceased was identified as Joyonti Chakrovorty ,48, an assistant teacher of Shologhar Government Primary School and wife of Alok Kumar Goswami -a just retired UD Clerk in the adjacent Water Development Board office. The Police team led by OC Md Nasimuddin recovered the body from a pool of blood.
It was presumed that she was stabbed dead and her throat was slit by miscreants who at once fled the scene.
Contacted, Additional Police Super (SADAR Circle) Jahid Parvej Chowdhury has told this correspondent that the reason for killing her in the house was yet to be ascertained and so, PBI (Police Bureau of Investigation), Chandpur Unit is working on it.
