Dead body of a female passenger recovered from the staff cabin of Barishal bound triple deck MV Surovi-8 launch on Friday.
Her accompanied male passenger became absconding till this report.
Nurul Islam, officer in charge of Barishal Kotwali police station, said according to the accompanied documents belonging with the deceased the body was identified as Ankhi Akhtar, 29, a sewing machine operator of Ananta Apparels Limited a garments factory at Adamzinagor EPZ at Siddhirganj under Narayanganj district.
She was daughter of Bazlur Rahman Bepari, from Baropuiya of Padrishibpur under Bakerganj upazila of Barishal district.
Police after informed by launch authority recovering the dead body the staff cabin of MV Surovi-8 anchored at Barishal port sent that to Barishal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital for autopsy on Saturday noon, the OC of Barishal Kotwali PS told.
