Police recovered the body of a college student from Pinggolia village in Kashiani upazila on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Mehedi Mollah, 15, son of Mohsin Mollah, a 1st year student of Alfadanga Government College.
Monirul Islam, officer-in-charge of Kashiani Police Station, said family members spotted Mehedi’s body in a paddy field near his house at the village around 9am and informed police.
On information police recovered the body and sent in to Gopalganj 250-bed General Hospital.
The victim’s family members said Mehedi went missing after he left the house on Thursday.
There was injury marks on the neck of Mehedi’s body and he might have been strangulated to death, added the OC.
