The body of a class-vii student of Sonamukhi Model Secondary School was recovered from the school ground on Tuesday morning.
The dead was identified as Md Parvez, 14, student of class -vii of the school and son of Taizel Hossain of Bujtala village under Benapole port police station.
Parvin Begum, mother of the dead told the body of her son was recovered from the ground of the school at around 9am on Tuesday after going missing since Monday afternoon as he left home at that time. ‘Father of the dead is living outside the country’, she added.
Julfikar Ali, president, managing committee, Sonamukhi Model Secondary School told that the student could be killed in absence of the night guard at night.
Apurba Hasan, officer in-charge, Benapole port police station told that the student was killed on the rooftop of the school at night.
The police arrested Mofizur Rahman for quizzing, police said.
