Body of abducted schoolgirl recovered in Madhukhali

Madhukhali police recovered the body from the house of accused Sabbir Sekh in Moladangi village on Saturday after the father of a abducted 8th class schoolgirl has complained at Madhukhali police station.
 Accused Sabbir Sheikh (22) and his mother Selina Begum (50) were immediately detained at the police station for questioning. She is the daughter of Zillur Rahman Mollah of Khodabaspur village in Korkadi union of the upazila. Tanni Khatun (14). He was an eighth grader at Ramdia High School. Police have sent the body to Faridpur Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Hospital for autopsy at 11am on Saturday. The accused is the son of Sheikh, an officer of Moladangi village in the same union of Sabbir upazila.
Tanni’s father Zillur Rahman said that on June 1, Sabbir Sheikh, son of Afsar Sheikh of Moladangi village came to my house and proposed marriage to my school-going daughter Tanni. If he does not agree, there is a problem and he threatens to have news. Sabbir is a mason by profession.
After confirming the information that Sabbir had abducted my daughter Tanni from June 8, a complaint was lodged with Madhukhali Police Station on the night of June 10. The police immediately recovered Tanbir’s body from Sabbir Sheikh’s house and brought it to the police station. He said signs of injuries were seen on Tanni’s neck, ears and chest. Tanni is the eldest of Zillur Rahman’s three sons and daughters.
Madhukhali police in-charge (OC) said. Sahidul Islam confirmed the matter and said that after receiving a preliminary complaint on June 10 at 10 pm, they raided the house of accused Sabbir Sheikh late on Saturday night. The body was sent to Faridpur Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical College Morgue for autopsy on Saturday morning. He said Tanni could die of suffocation. Has not received the case yet. Necessary legal action will be taken if a case is filed.
