Body found in Manikganj

Police have recovered the body of a printing press worker from a field in Shimulia village of Shimulia union in Manikganj’s Shibalaya upazila.
The deceased was identified as Ramzan Ali, 30, son of late Lebu Mia of Shimulia village in Shimulia union. He worked at a printing press in Dhaka’s Uttara area.
Ramzan’s relatives said he left for his native village on Thursday night as Friday was his weekly off. “When he did not reach home, we tried calling him, but his mobile phone was switched off.”
The family members also searched for him in the village and nearby areas. Police also launched a search operation and recovered the body of Ramzan from a field in Shimulia village on Friday morning.

The body has been sent to the morgue of Manikganj Sadar Hospital for an autopsy.
Additional Police Superintendent of Shibalaya Circle Tania Sultana and Officer-in-Charge of Shibalaya Police Station Firoz Kabir visited the spot later in the day.
Tania said that Ramzan’s body bore several injury marks. “The injury marks on his neck, head and hand indicate he was killed. “We are trying to identify his killers.”
An FIR has been lodged at Shibalaya Police Station on a complaint by his the family, she added.
