Netrakona police administration has constituted a three- member inquiry committee headed by Additional Police Super Ashraful Alam to investigate into the allegation of filing false drug-related case with Netrakona model thana recently against the president of governing body of Norendranagar government primary school Sakawath Hussain at village Norendronogar under Netrakona Sader upazila.
Police sources said that the committee has been formed at the directives of police super Netrakona Joydeb Chowdhory after local people of Norendronogar brought out a procession here demanding investigation into the incident of filling “what they said” false case under narcotics act against an innocent person.
When contacted, Superintendent of police (SP) Netrakona Joydeb Chowdhory informed that the committee has been asked to submit report whether the case was filed on the basis of fact or false story.
Meanwhile, inspector (investigation) of Netrakona model thana Uttam Kumar Ray and second officer of the thana sub-inspector Sakawath Hussain have been withdrawn from Netrakona Model Police station following an official order issued from the SP office, police sources said.
