The bodies of a woman and her son were recovered from the Sarafvata River in Rangunia upazila of Chattogram on Tuesday morning, five days after a boat carrying them capsized in the Karnaphuli River.
The deceased have been identified as Tumpa Majumder, 30, wife of one Rajib Majumder and her son Bijoy Majumder, 5, residents of Mirsarai upazila of Chattogram district.
Kaptai Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Ashraf Russel said that the bodies were recovered around 9:30am.
Earlier, three people went missing after an engine-run boat with 53 members of ISKCON on board capsized in Koilar Depot area in the Karnaphuli River of Rangamati on February 14.
The divers, later, recovered the body of one Deblila, 10, from the river.
