Police recovered at least three siblings from a ditch at North Ashtoka village in Gundhor Union under Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj district on Sunday morning.
The victims were indentified as Junaki (9), Chandni (7) and Safeyet Ullah (4). All were children of Md. Helal Uddin of Bhatiya Gangapara village of Dehunda union in
Karimganj upazila. Three siblings along with their mother went to their aunt’s house at Ashtoka village two days ago.
On Saturday noon, they went missing while playing in the neighborhood field. The family members and locals searched them in many places but could not trace them.
After an exhausted search, bodies were recovered from the ditch on Sunday morning.
Karimganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Mujibur Rahman said that on information police rushed to the spot, recovered the bodies.
